What's the Speculation Policy?[]
The Speculation Policy is a policy designed to keep opinionated, unproven, and otherwise wrong information out of articles. On this wiki, speculation is the act of guessing what may occur in future chapters or what may be true without having any proof to back it up.
What does speculation look like?[]
Consider the following sentences:
"Ulquiorra Cifer is alive."
At the end of his fight with Ichigo, Ulquiorra crumbled into dust and blew away in the wind. There has been no evidence since of him being alive, having been resurrected, etc. Therefore, it is false, and thus speculation.
"In his Segunda Etapa form, Ulquiorra is the strongest Espada."
While Ulquiorra is certainly powerful, his second Resurreccíon has not been directly compared to the Resurreccíon of the other Espada within the series. Therefore, it is opinion, and thus speculation.
"Ulquiorra loved Orihime."
While Ulquiorra evidently gained a "heart" right before his death after interacting with Orihime, he never admitted to loving her. Therefore, it is using facts to "prove" an opinion, and thus speculation.
What isn't speculation?[]
"At some point in the past, Isshin Kurosaki used the Final Getsuga Tenshō."
Though this has never been expressly stated, it can be supported by various facts throughout the series. During Ichigo's Dangai training, Isshin mentioned learning the Final Getsuga Tenshō from the spirit of his Zanpakutō, Engetsu. At some point prior to the beginning of the series, Isshin lost his Shinigami powers, which is known to be the consequence of using the Final Getsuga Tenshō. Since the statement is supported by this information, it is not speculation, but drawing a conclusion from established facts.
