You know when Mask de Masculine crushed his eardrums to negate Rose's attack but then when he was fighting Renji, he was kinda like listening to James' cheers for him to get his eardrums back. My question is, how the hell did he do that?

Because that's what his epithet does. "The Superstar" allows him to gain strength and heal wounds by someone cheering for him. Even if he doesn't hear them, it still happens.

Welcome to bleach/most manga/most anything. Where main character plotkai rules and normal power levels/stats don't matter.
well, I don't want to compare Naruto to Bleach but in Naruto at least the power stats and the levels of the characters kinda made sense.......I am most satisfied with how in Naruto kishimoto makes the fights more realistic(I guess) rather than just making the main character win every time
In Naruto, every super jutsu has a serious side-effect. Eg:- Mangekyo Sharingan leads to blindness, the Fuuton Rasen Shuriken was initially a 2-edged sword, Senjutsu has time limit, the bijuu mode is the same. Untill Kaguya came in Naruto, there was no Aizen/Yhwach level character in Naruto. And even she was not invincible.
In Bleach, I felt Aizen was ridiculously strong and invincible with no weakness what so ever and the Main character had to lose everything to win (and couldn't kill him either).
And not to mention Kubo's inability to kill people off till now. Atleast I am glad he revealed the Bankai of Yamamoto, Choujiro and Unohana before they kicked the bucket.
NoW Yhwach is seemingly invincible and main characters getting insane power-ups and achieving overnight new Bankai's and their mastery over it, leaves a lot to imagination :|
Kubo is leaving a bit too many loose ends I feel. If the series ends without revealing the Bankai's of all captain class people (including Aizen), I for one would feel very cheated.
