I'm sure people have noticed over the last few days a user has been adding an awful lot of censorship points to character articles which I think has gotten out of hand. I don't mind listing every detail when there are only 2 or 3 details. But Ichigo's page has become absurd in my view. Some pages aren't even that long! Even Byakuya's is too long imo.

A very long time ago I am sure we discussed how to deal with the censorship points and I wish I could find that discussion but I can't. Maybe I am confusing it with one on the changes made by the anime which is a discussion I did manage to find in the forum archives. That discussion had many saying that those changes should be listed on the episode pages, not character pages. My opinion is that is how the censorship thing should be done as well. (There was also a suggestion of a dedicated page)

But if others would rather have Ichigo's censorship section put under one of the tabs at the top of the page with Appearances in Other Media etc, I won't stand in the way. But I really don't think the way it is now is the right way to do this. I wouldn't mind condensing it to a basic "Many of the fight scenes Ichigo is involved in have been censored, including less blood, less graphic injuries or heavy use of silhouetting." Only listing a few highlights rather than every single time it happened.

Anyway, with my rant out of the way, what does everyone else think?

    • Honestly I think most of censorship could be left to Anime Episodes unless its something significant like Hiyori being bisected or Quimera Parca being dramatically different so its difference is in its article.

They are too different mediums I think its a different smaller details are goin to be different. I agree with you.

    • After looking over the section on Ichigo's page it does look to be excessive. I agree it should be moved to the episodes' pages or at the very least trimmed down.

    • As above. I don't think we need to list every time a character wasn't bloodied as much in the anime in their article, that's not interesting to read (unlike, say, how they handled Quimera Parca).

    • Highlighting this thread as the general feeling is that's it is getting a bit much and someone has either not seen this thread or is following the old habit of ignoring everyone.

    • Yea that is way too much in regards to the censorship. Its like over done when more attention could be put towards needed edits.

    • I would say if we want to refer to these, we could always have a "differences from the manga" section on the Episode pages.

    • I'm all for putting this sort of thing on episode pages, and the major, very character specific ones could go on those characters' pages (I would say no more than like three for any single character's page), but yeah what's been going on lately is too much.

    • If I may, I think censorship should have its own page.

    • Its too sporadic for its own page would need a section on the episode layouts. On a page it would just be a list.

    • I agree with you guys and your ideas are remarkable. We should have a Censorship page as well as place censorship onto respective episode pages. Also, when it comes to Censorship on character pages, if it looks too crowded, other than simply compressing the information, turn the Censorship section into a scroll box. It's a win-win. Bada-Bing

I've cut back on some of the pages, haven't had time to go through them all yet but will do it.

I don't really see the value in a censorship page. At best a section on the Anime page explaining the general things that happened with a limited number of examples highlighting the major things. Otherwise stick to the episode pages imo.

The issue on character pages isnt solved by a scroll box, so no it is not a win-win.
