Black on black

Has anyone else noticed that this template is unreadable? On the outer boxes that have black backgrounds the font is also black. Isn't there any way to fix this? Weedefinition 09:00, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

I don't have this issue. It is black text on a light/pale blue background for me. --Yyp (Talk) 12:09, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

Format of Template

I think that we should change this template back to its original version. There are currently 43 volumes, and Bleach is going to be going on for quite a while yet, so the box is going to keep getting bigger and bigger. I think it is already too big. Changing it back to the original version (i.e. only linking to the previous and next volumes) would be best, imo. Anyone who wishes to see the full list of volumes can simply click the link to the Chapters page. --Yyp (Talk) 12:09, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

While I agree that the navigation would be fairly big by the time Bleach ends. But right now it is fairly convenient. I personally like it and I think it goes well with the navigation bars we have for "captains" and "vice-captains". Perhaps we should address this issue when it actually becomes a problem? Tinni (Talk) 16:03, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

Nothing wrong with addressing it before it becomes a problem. There is the show/hide thing that is on the captain etc navboxes. Perhaps that would work better. What other solutions might there be for it? --Yyp (Talk) 16:21, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

I like the idea of hiding it. That would negate the size issue. I also thought about grouping it differently. Maybe just have a volume numbers? You know, 1, 2, 3, 4... etc. Sort of like what we have for chapters. Yes... it think that could work. See below for working example of what I mean. Tinni (Talk) 13:04, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

Or maybe something like that :

Do you have a template like those one here ? Ju gatsu mikka 20:23, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
I don't think we have anything like that here, and it won't let me view the source code to try to adapt a version of it for use here. I prefer hiding it, but both are good, so I don't mind going with the numbers if more people prefer that. --Yyp (Talk) 21:32, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
The source code is something like <span style="white-space:nowrap;">{{{1}}}</span>
I try something with all the volumes + chapters with it : like that titles are not cut in the middle like before and we don't need the link to the previous and next volumes / chapters anymore. Ju gatsu mikka 13:45, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Absolute no to the combining volumes and chapters. Also, we really, really, really don't need to group the volumes 1 to 10 and so forth. We can just give the numbers or even just the names. Seems to me that insistence to grouping them is partially increasing the size by requiring more table rows. Tinni (Talk) 15:50, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Well, combining volumes and chapters can make easier to navigate between them. I mean, for the moment there is no direct link between the first volume and the last chapter for example.
In the same spirit, when I make this template I grouped the volumes ten by ten to make easier for a reader to find a volume in the list. It's the same for this page.
But well, I make an example without the chapters and with a one-cell-list :

Frankly I prefer the number. Just because most people don't know the volume by name, just numbers. Plus the name spam looks ugly. Tinni (Talk) 15:23, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

Template:Volumes + Template:Chapters = Template:Manga ?

Hello everyone, like you can see, I made some edits to Template:Volumes and Template:Chapters those weeks and I think that merged them can be a good idea. If we do it, it will look like that :

[[{{{Previous}}}]] Volumes [[{{{Next}}}]]

What do you think about that ? Ju gatsu mikka 18:50, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Just a note for anyone looking over this, links to talk page removed from this navbox for maintenance reasons - dead links. Just saying so nobody thought less of Ju's work ~~Ууp <talk> 14:57, January 18, 2014 (UTC)
