The Tea Ceremony Club (お茶の会, Ocha no Kai) is an organization within the Soul Society devoted to the practice of the art of tea ceremony.
Overview[]
The head of the club is Captain-Commander Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, with other notable members, including Retsu Unohana and Byakuya Kuchiki. Yachiru Kusajishi also pops in and out of the meetings for the snacks. Renji Abarai is known to have attended at least one meeting, but by his own admission, does not know what he is doing there as he "suck[s] at stuff like this."[1]
Surprisingly, Chōjirō Sasakibe, who is most notable for his preference of Western tea styles compared to Eastern ways, represents the club on occasion, including budget meetings. The budget of the club is 150,000 kan.[2]
