The Pícaro (ピカロ, Pikaro; Spanish for "Rogue" or "Rascal") are a collective of childlike Arrancar that split off from a single Hollow. Sharing the same powers, they were once considered an Espada before being demoted to Privaron Espada.

Appearance

The Pícaro consist of 200 different child-like Arrancar. Aside from their tattered cloaks, they differ greatly in appearance from each other. Notably, the one that acts as the leader has headphone-like mask fragments and typically sports a bored expression.

History

The Pícaro were once a group of Human children who were abandoned and left to die of starvation. The children became Hollows and eventually these Hollows merged together into a single Gillian, who started to feel lonely and guilty due to devouring the others. After evolving into an Adjuchas, the Hollow went to look for other deceased children to have company, turning them into Hollows and either feeding them parts of itself or assimilating them.

During Baraggan Louisenbairn's reign, the Pícaro were allowed to roam free across the worlds, and when Sōsuke Aizen took over, he named them an Espada. At some point, they planned to save Yūichi Shibata from Shrieker to add the deceased child to their collective, but were disappointed to find out a Shinigami had already performed Konsō on him.

After they were demoted to Privaron Espada, Aizen tasked Runuganga to keep the Pícaro inside Las Noches in order to prevent them from causing too much trouble in the Human World.

Powers & Abilities

Great Spiritual Power: As a former Espada member, the Pícaro are collectively very powerful, enough to be considered a threat to Números such as Pesche Guatiche and Dondochakka Birstanne.

Cero: Each member of the Pícaro is able to fire a powerful Cero, strong enough that the Pícaro believed it could vaporize Arrancar such as Pesche and Dondochakka. The true danger of their Cero lies in the fact that all of the Pícaro members can fire Cero simultaneously, during which they have enough power to blow a large crater in the desert of Hueco Mundo.

Pesquisa: The Arrancar ability to sense spiritual energy. The Pícaro mostly use this technique to find new victims to "play" with.

Descorrer (解空 (デスコレール), Desukorēru; Spanish for "Drawing Back/Opening", Japanese for "Loosed Void"): A technique used by Arrancar, and sometimes others, to open a Garganta between the Human World and Hueco Mundo.

Bala: This technique hardens the user's spiritual pressure and fires it like a bullet from their fist.

Chuchería (菓菓楽土 (チュッチェリア), Chutcheria; Spanish for "Candy", Japanese for "Candy Paradise"): The Pícaro's strongest abililty, Chuchería generates a miniature black hole that sucks in all nearby Reishi.

Zanpakutō

Langosta Migratoria (戯擬軍翅 (ランゴスタ・ミグラトリア), Rangosuta Miguratoria; Spanish for "Migratory Locust", Japanese for "Playful Mock-Army of Wings"): it is unknown what form the Pícaro's sealed Zanpakutō takes.

• Resurrección: Langosta Migratoria's release command is "Play" (遊べ, asobe). Upon release, all members of the Pícaro grow transparent wings.
