Meninas McAllon (ミニーニャ・マカロン, Minīnya Makaron) is a Quincy and a member of the Wandenreich's Sternritter with the designation P: The Power.

Appearance

Meninas is an imposingly tall and well-endowed girl of slender build. She is light-skinned with long wavy pink hair and short bangs that frame her forehead and pink eyes. Her attire is a variation of the Sternritter's typical white uniform, consisting of a frilled skirt, frilled gloves, frilled boots, leggings, a belt with a heart-shaped buckle, a large purple bow with a white Wandenreich symbol around her neck, and a white cap with gold trimmings, which features a black peak and the Wandenreich insignia emblazoned on its front, turned sideways.

Personality

Like other Sternritter members, Meninas is loyal to Yhwach and is willing to attack Ichigo Kurosaki to prevent him from reaching her leader and interfering with his plans. She finds PePe Waccabrada to be a disgusting man.

She holds a great deal of pride as a warrior, as she felt insulted when Rukia Kuchiki turned her back to go help her brother, but did not hesitate to strike her from behind. She can also be rather innocent and blissfully ignorant, as shown when she bid farewell to an unconscious Rukia, only to quickly realize that she couldn't hear her.

Meninas has also shown a sense of camaraderie with her fellow Sternritters, especially to the four she is close friends with. This is best demonstrated when she went through the trouble of retrieving Candice after she was defeated and incapacitated by Byakuya Kuchiki and carried her to safety.

Plot

The Thousand-Year Blood War arc

Meninas bids Rukia Kuchiki farewell as she enters a Shadow.

Upon receiving the orders of Yhwach, Meninas and the other Sternritter gather at the Gate of the Sun before traveling to the Seireitei in order to participate in the conquest of Soul Society. There she engages Rukia Kuchiki in battle. When Rukia is distracted by Byakuya Kuchiki's defeat at the hands of Äs Nödt, Meninas uses the opening to critically wound and defeat Rukia. After the Soldat ravage the Seireitei, Meninas begins retreating into a Shadow alongside the rest of the Wandenreich. She bids Rukia farewell, though quickly realizes that the unconscious lieutenant cannot hear her anymore.

After Bambietta Basterbine kills a Wandenreich soldier, Meninas, Liltotto, Candice, and Giselle enter her room, with Meninas telling Bambietta she could have at least killed the man outside. Afterwards, Meninas attends a meeting with the other Sternritter, in the Wörtlich hall of Silbern. Jugram Haschwalth informs them they have been ordered to defeat the captains whose Bankai they stole. Meninas then listens as Haschwalth explains that the order is to strike them down by crushing their hope.

Later, Meninas arrives for the second invasion, walking down with the other Sternritter after the Seireitei was replaced with the Wandereich city. Later, Meninas notes Bambietta is using her Quincy: Vollständig, prompting Liltotto to state Bambietta was already mad at them because they vanished. After Bambietta is defeated by Captain Sajin Komamura, Meninas along with the other three members of her group approach the defeated Sternritter.

She and the others later ambush 11th Division Captain Kenpachi Zaraki after he defeats Gremmy Thoumeaux. After punching Zaraki into the ground with tremendous force, Meninas crushes several unseated Shinigami with a large building, and soon after discusses how Zaraki should die with Candice, Liltotto, and Giselle before expressing surprise when an explosion occurs in the air above them.

As Meninas and the others feel the Reiatsu of the individual falling from the sky, they turn around and look above. She and the others watch as the individual smashes through a tower, leaving Meninas and the others dumbstruck and questioning how the individual went down with the tower, but are then surprised when Ichigo Kurosaki appears behind them. After Ichigo throws Candice into a building, Giselle, Liltotto, and Meninas attack him, but Ichigo dodges their attacks and throws them into buildings as well. Meninas wonders who Ichigo is, and is shocked when Liltotto notes he is a Special War Power. After Ichigo withstands Candice's Galvano Blast, Meninas summons her bow and prepares to fight him alongside the other Sternritter.

When Ichigo effortlessly repels the Heilig Pfeil of all four Sternritter, resulting in a powerful explosion, Meninas crashes into Giselle and Candice, followed by Liltotto. After moving away to avoid Candice's subsequent blast of electricity, Meninas states Ichigo gets on her nerves. Upon noticing Candice has activated her Quincy: Vollständig, Meninas notes they do not need to slaughter Ichigo just because he is annoying. However, when Candice points out how Yhwach will surely grant her wishes if she kills Ichigo, Meninas envisions expensive furnishings as her wish. Soon afterward, Bazz-B appears and pierces the four girls with Burner Finger 1. However, after PePe Waccabrada, NaNaNa Najahkoop, and Robert Accutrone arrive, Meninas gets up and prepares to fight Ichigo 8-on-1. After Ichigo learns of Yhwach's plan, he attempts to intercept him, but Meninas drives him through several buildings before noting the Sternritter will not simply let him leave. Later, she looks on as several more Shinigami confront the Sternritter. Soon afterward, Meninas activates her Quincy: Vollständig and rushes toward the Shinigami alongside the other Sternritter, who have activated theirs as well.

6th Division Captain Byakuya Kuchiki quickly dispatches three of the Sternritter, leaving only Meninas and Liltotto standing. Meninas comments on how appropriate it is that only the two of them would prove strong enough to endure the battle and, hearing Liltotto wonder where PePe went, states PePe is disgusting. She then watches as Shūhei Hisagi, under PePe's influence, comes and attacks the captain. PePe then proceeds to take control of Meninas' emotions as well, making her enlarge her arm and hit Liltotto. Later, Giselle asks Liltotto what happened to Meninas, and Liltotto responds that she dealt with her, although she shouldn't be dead. Shortly afterwards, Meninas carries an exhausted Candice across the battlefield when they are hit by Yhwach's Auswählen.

Powers & Abilities

The Power (力 (ザ・パワー), Za Pawā; Japanese for "Power"): Thanks to her Schrift, Meninas possesses superhuman strength, allowing her to punch opponents with tremendous force and pick up and throw large buildings with ease. She can push her opponent through several buildings, each feat with minimal effort from a single hand. She is also able to drastically increase the size of her muscles.

• Diamond Push (ダイヤモンド・プッシュ, Daiyamondo Pusshu): Meninas places her hands together in a diamond shape in front of her before charging at her opponent. This attack was powerful enough to send Ichigo flying a significant distance.

Reishi Manipulation: As a Quincy, Meninas primarily absorbs spiritual energy from the atmosphere and combines it with her own spiritual energy to form weapons. She has an easier time collecting this energy in environments with higher concentrations of Reishi, such as Soul Society or Hueco Mundo.

• Hirenkyaku Practitioner: Meninas possess some skill in Hirenkyaku, she is fast enough to grab Ichigo Kurosaki's head and push him through several buildings before he could react.

Great Spiritual Power: Meninas' Spiritual Power is on a level comparable to that of a Captain-level Shinigami. This was proven as she was able to defeat 13th Division Lieutenant Rukia Kuchiki.

Enhanced Durability: Meninas possesses considerable durability. She withstood being thrown into a building by Ichigo Kurosaki with only minor injuries.

Enhanced Endurance: Meninas is a particularly enduring combatant, quickly getting to her feet after being pierced by Bazz-B's Burner Finger 1.

Shadow: A Quincy technique that allows the user to move between dimensions using shadows. Meninas was able to exit the Seireitei using this technique.

Spirit Weapon

Heilig Bogen (神聖弓 (ハイリッヒ・ボーゲン), Hairihhi Bōgen; German for "Holy Bow", Japanese for "Sacred Bow"): Meninas uses a bow as her primary weapon. She keeps the small bow in a collapsed state within a heart container she keeps on the side of her belt. When Meninas clicks the heart, the bow pops out above her. There is a heart centered at the middle of the bow with the two arms branching out of it. Meninas grabs hold of the heart portion with one hand and pulls back on a Reishi string with her other hand to fire like a normal bow.

• Heilig Pfeil (神聖滅矢 (ハイリッヒ・プファイル), Hairihhi Pufairu; German for "Holy Arrow", Japanese for "Sacred Destruction Arrows"): Meninas can fire Heilig Pfeil from her bow. The tips of her Heilig Pfeil are shaped like hearts.

Pornipora (神の力 (ポーニポラ), Pōnipora; Japanese for "Power of God"): Upon activation, Meninas' Quincy: Vollständig grants her pink wings composed of three large heart-shaped segments each and a Heiligenschein shaped like a spiky, star-like Quincy Zeichen.

• Flight: Using her wings, Meninas can fly at high speeds.

• Sklaverei (聖隷 (スクラヴェライ), Sukuraverai; German for "Slavery", Japanese for "Holy Slave"): A technique that augments a Quincy's most basic ability to gather Reishi by forcibly absorbing all Reishi from their environment. Meninas uses this ability to further empower Pornipora and its abilities, changing its appearance, gaining heart-shaped kneeguards and a heart-shaped chestpiece, while Meninas wields two dumbbells to use as weapons.

• Dumbbell Duster (ダンベルダスター, Danberu Dasutā): Meninas uses her two dumbbells as weapons to enhance her punches.

• Dumbbell Duster: Baton Beat (ダンベルダスター・バトンビート, Danberu Dasutā Baton Bīto): Meninas lengthens the handles of her dumbbells, turning them into long batons that she can wield as staves.

• Dumbbell Duster: Halteres (ダンベルダスター・ハルテレス, Danberu Dasutā Haruteresu): Meninas transforms one of her dumbbells into a large blade before diving down towards her target.

• In Ryōgo Narita's novel Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World, Meninas is revealed to have been captured by the Twelfth Division after being depowered by the Auswählen; Meninas, Candice Catnipp, & NaNaNa Najahkoop were then turned into subjects by Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Meninas watches as Mayuri then strikes deal with Candice that if they help him capture the Fullbringers living in the Rukongai, then he will let her and Meninas go free.

Trivia

• Some of her fellow Sternritter address her as Meni (ミニー, Minī).
• In the color page of chapter 581 Meninas was given purple hair and eyes. This was later changed to pink hair and green eyes in chapter 640's color spread.
• In the manga, it was never revealed which Sternritter defeated Rukia in chapter 501, but in the anime it was revealed to be Meninas.

Klub Outside Trivia

• According to Q&A #525 by Tite Kubo on his fansite "Klub Outside", Kubo confirmed that Meninas, in the Bambies, is the second best in regards to hand to hand combat after Liltotto. Her Blut potency is the third strongest after Liltotto and Giselle.
