Mad Eater (マッドイーター, Maddo Ītā) was a Hollow with an interest in tasting twin Souls. He chased Fujimaru and Matsuri Kudō for years to pursue this goal.[1]
Appearance[]
Mad Eater is a fairly large Hollow, standing over the average full-sized Human. He has four tusks coming out of his mask, red hair that extends below his chest, where his Hollow hole lies, and sharp claws on either hand.[1]
Personality[]
Mad Eater is very gluttonous, as well as persistent. For a number of years, he has made vigorous attempts to devour Fujimaru and Matsuri Kudō from the time they were souls, up to the time they had become members of the Fifth Division.[1]
History[]
As Mad Eater chased after the young Kudō twins, he exclaimed that he was going to eat them. He was eventually driven off by Seigen Suzunami, Sōsuke Aizen, and Kisuke Urahara.[1]
Some time later, after the Kudō twins became Shinigami, Mad Eater returned, noticing that the Reiatsu that had escaped him years before had appeared again. He noted that they were much more powerful and stated that this would make them taste better. He was driven off numerous times from then on by various members of the Gotei 13. In his last fight, he was killed by Fujimaru and Matsuri after they learned the names of their Zanpakutō.[1]
Powers and Abilities[]
High Spiritual Power: Mad Eater boasts a high amount of spiritual power. He was able to escape with his life when faced with Suzunami, Urahara, and Aizen. It took both Fujimaru and Matsuri Kudō to activate their Shikai to be able to kill him.[1]
Reiatsu Absorption: Mad Eater is able to absorb the Reiatsu of nearby foes, thus restoring his own.[1]
Head Whip: Mad Eater is able to spin his head rapidly in multiples of 360 degrees, allowing his hair to hit enemies like a whip.[1]
Trivia[]
- In the battles after Mad Eater's death, a generic enemy of a similar appearance named Evil Eater is occasionally fought. Where Mad Eater was of the All classification, Evil Eaters can be either Power, Speed, or Tech.[1]
