"My Bankai, Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō, is a suit of armour come to life. Its Dangai Jōe form removes that armour, leaving pure reiatsu, nothing but pure strength exposed to the world." |
Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō: Dangai Jōe (黒縄天譴明王: 断鎧縄衣, Vidyaraja of Kalasutra's Heavenly Punishment: Severed Mail and Thread-Clad; Viz "Divine Retribution, Black Ropes of Ruination: Armor Repulsion Rope Raiment") is a technique of Sajin Komamura's Bankai, Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō.
Description[]
After Komamura uses his Humanization Technique to regain his lost human form and activates his Bankai, he can initiate this technique, causing the armor of Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō to break off in large chunks[1] and exposing a demonic visage with a thick cord wrapped around its torso multiple times,[2] which is a body composed of nothing but pure Reiatsu.[3]
Because its armor is its life, by shedding the armor, Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō is literally casting its life aside.[4] Due to the nature of the technique used to attain this form and its symbiotic connection with its wielder, this Bankai is virtually invulnerable to physical harm, quickly regenerating from all harm done to its body; in the battle against Bambietta Basterbine, this proved to be uniquely suited to countering The Explode, as there was no Reishi in the giant itself to detonate[5] and its attacks were powerful enough to actually push back Bambietta's bombs with their sheer force.[6]
However, as a secondary synchronization with the Humanization Technique, this is the final technique that Komamura can ever use - when the former wore off after the battle against Bambietta concluded, the giant not only collapsed alongside Komamura, but visibly shattered and crumbled into nothing, completely destroying the Bankai while Komamura began turning into a powerless wolf.[7]
