Kaneda (金田, Kaneda) is a young boy who goes to the same school as Yuzu Kurosaki and Karin Kurosaki.

He is obese and he has black hair. His eyebrows look like flags, and he also has a dounut shaped mouth.

He dislikes Karin much because of her nasty reputation. He likes to play video games with his friends Hashigami and Ino rather than going in to gym class.

Agent of the Shinigami arc

While Kaneda, Hashigami and Ino are playing video games, Ino complains about gym class and Kaneda continues this complaint by stating that whenever they kick the ball wrong, Karin Kurosaki yells at them. Hashigami agrees with this statement as well. They continue playing their video game until Ino loses. Hashigami tells him he should just delete his character and that those that don't listen to their master should just die. Ino erases his character and states that he's just going to make a new one.[1] Kon (in Ichigo Kurosaki's body) then jumps down and breaks their game. He then runs away and the kids are then confronted by their gym teacher. She yells at them for ditching class again and the kids try to explain what happened to them. She doesn't believe them though and states that their video games probably broke while fighting with each other. She then tells them to clean up their broken games.[2] They do so and get mad at the fact that nobody believes them. A Hollow immediately attacks them while doing this and Kon arrives to save them. They are confused by this and Kaneda asks if he wants to fight them again. Kon just yells at them to run away or else they'll get killed by the Hollow. The Hollow then attacks Kon causing him to bleed from his shoulder and the kids begin to run away crying.[3]

  • Kaneda received two separate votes in the second popularity poll, one as one of "the three students in Karin's class" and another for himself specifically.[4]
