As part of The Miracle's ability to "exchange" all damage he sustains into size and power, if Gerard suffers massive harm over a short period, he will grow proportionally gigantic, enough to tower over multi-storied buildings and completely dwarf Human-sized opponents. As Gerard transforms, any injuries he incurred, no matter how severe, will completely vanish.[1] Gerard has noted that his body growing gigantic is a miracle borne of people's fear (民衆の恐怖, minshū no kyōfu).[2]
In his "Godly Size" form, Gerard is strong enough to pick off and throw part of a concrete tower, smash a building with a simple backhand, deflect Byakuya Kuchiki's Senbonzakura with another mere swipe of his hand, and exhale with enough force to create a powerful gust;[3] he could also deflect a collaborative assault from four Visored with a casual blow of his shield.[4] Gerard's durability increases to the point where he can withstand an incantation-free Hadō #91. Senju Kōten Taihō without a scratch, although he admitted that it still caused him pain.[5] At the same time, Gerard's already vast Reiryoku increases to the point where he deemed the Reiatsu of various captains and Visored too faint to sense.[6] As a true testament to Gerard's might, Kenpachi Zaraki, who had awakened his true power and surpassed the First Kenpachi, immediately took off his eyepatch and released Nozarashi at the start of their battle, instinctively knowing that he must go all out against Gerard in order to stand a chance.[7]
