Kūgo Ginjō is a member of Xcution and is responsible for bringing Ichigo Kurosaki into the group's affairs.
Having joined Xcution, a group with the stated aim of riding its members of their Fullbring powers, Kūgo served under its former leader Shūkurō Tsukishima. Tsukishima recruited a Substitute Shinigami to pass their powers onto, but as they were doing so, he killed the Shinigami and those that gave up their powers. Some time later, Kūgo seeks out Ichigo with the intention of restoring his Shinigami powers so that Xcution's remaining members can rid themselves of their powers. However, his intentions are not as they seem, as he was involved in an elaborate plot with Tsukishima's memory altering abilities.
