Contentious Translations[]

Mūkōjōchū Muramasa and Shisō Kekkai[]

This is more a case of contentious renderings or something, but...

The above two technique things are anime-exclusive, so we don't really have visible kanji and thus furigana to base their names off of. However, something strange happened in the dub of the Zanpakutō arc, where they were named: in episode 250, Kōga calls out his technique as kōjōchū Muramasa, and in episode 251, Yamamoto refers to the sealing Kidō as Shisō Keppō (might be -ppo, dunno). Does anyone have an explanation for that, or what the different names might mean in terms of kanji meaning?--Xilinoc (talk) 17:33, April 6, 2014 (UTC)

I checked it a long time ago and now, and current kanji of said skills is valid. It seems that it is just a other or "unique" pronucination said by Yamamoto's Seiyū : Masaaki Tsukada and Kōga's : Isshin Chiba. 従え 01:49, September 13, 2014 (UTC)

English Transliteration for Attacks[]

I noticed that we use romanization to name English attacks like Sandobaggu Bīto and Mashiro Sūpā Kikku, yet we have Deadly Darts as it is instead of Deddorī Dātsu. I highly suggest we move Sandobaggu Bīto to Sandbag Beat and etc.. After all, for all the Arrancar and Quincy attacks, we use their proper names instead of romanization as titles (Heilig Pfeil instead of Hairihhi Bufairu, Cero instead of Sero). Just to be consistent in naming pages. Yatanogarasu (talk) 20:50, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

For me it's ok :) Hope other members of Translation Corner would support Your idea Yata :) 従え 01:49, September 13, 2014 (UTC)

Yachiru's Shikai[]

Yachiru's shikai is given out to be "Sanpo Kenjuu". Still looking for the kanji from the raws.--Salubri (Chat) 11:30,3/5/2014

Found them. It's " 三歩剣獣 ". Thank you, Japanese blog - http://orenomanngasokuhou.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-1290.html - under the cover of vol. 62 and even more blow, under the red set of character you have four dots. Here's what they say:

• Stern Ritter "V" appears in front of Yachiru and Isane

• "V" can remove his body, presence and disappear from the conscioussness. His ability has three versions.

• "V" tries to attack Yachiru from behind, but she avoids it and cuts his nose.

• The ability of Yachiru's sword is to mimic the movement of the blade in front and behind the user ("V" was not able to see Yachiru's sword and react to it). The name is 三歩剣獣 - Sanpō Kenjū - Three Steps Sword Beast. --Black Butler94 (talk) 13:03, March 5, 2014 (UTC)

I would offer this translation of hers Shikai : "Three Steps of Sword Beasts". I think so because of hence that their ability is mimicry of Yachiru's movements and attacks. Mad6 (talk) 14:10, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

Looks like you guys got it: it does seem to be 三歩剣獣 Sanpo Kenjū; and a trans. similar to that which Mad suggests, "three-step sword beasts", seems best. Adam Restling (talk) 10:22, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Black Butler, Your link about Nozarashi is great deal of help, because now We know about source of Kenpachi's motifs (Skull-shaped Reiatsu shape upon releasing, similar to Yachiru's Pink Cat-shaped Reiatsu upon release). I would leave Nozarashi "野晒" meaning as Weather-Beaten One smilar to Kira's "侘助" Wabisuke The Wretched One, because of this skeleton-like motif linked to Nozarashi. Command of his Shikai is like EvilDragon wrote - 飲み込め "Nomikome" that translates to "Swallow". Mad6 (talk) 21:41, April 23, 2014 (UTC)

Kinpika[]

We don't have raws for the Zanpakutō name itself quite yet, but in the meantime could someone translate whatever's written on its sheath? Raws for the kanji will be posted when they come out, of course.--Xilinoc (talk) 14:12, July 10, 2014 (UTC)

It's just Kirinji (きりんじ). Zhenyoq talk 11:32, July 21, 2014 (UTC)
Alright, raw's out. First off, the release command (lower left-most panel). Secondly, Kinpika itself. Translations would be nice.--Xilinoc (talk) 14:51, July 19, 2014 (UTC)
The release command is Sparkle (煌け, kirameke). What about Kinpika (金毘迦)… I'm not sure how to translate it. OK, kin means gold. The other two hieroglyphs are only used in buddhist terms don't hold any meaning (though I may be wrong about this). Also, Kinpika (金ぴか) is gilded splendor. I think this is the intended meaning. Zhenyoq talk 11:32, July 21, 2014 (UTC)

Character and element (e.g. devices) names[]

Guenael[]

A chapter 570 raw came out (here:[[4]]). The kanji for the epiteth are 消尽点 (バニシング・ポイント), but it doesn't have the "The" part like the others, don't know if it deserves a correction or if is a mistake (just wanted to point it out).
Also katakana for the name are グエナエル (Guenaeru); may I suggest change "Guenael" for "Gwenael"?, it sounds more fitting to the other quincy names.--EvilDragonLord (talk) 17:53, February 28, 2014 (UTC)

The romaji of "消尽点" is (Shōjinten), and it literally means vanishing point. Romanization of "バニシング・ポイント" is (Banishingu Pointo), since there is no サ (za) kata in raws, this is not a error. Mayby Kubo will change or fix this in Tankobon release, but now it's not the case. I think that Guenael would be best since that if it would be "Gwenael" katakana would be different. As Guenael kata is グエナエル (Guenaeru), Gwenael would be グヴェナエル (Guvenaeru) or グウェナエル (Guwenaeru). It's because the エ (e) kata in Guenael is normally written, unlike in case of ヴェ (ve) or ウェ (we) which ェ (e) is different to capital written エ (e). The latter e are wrtten as lowercase letter, forming with ヴ (v) or ウ (w) a single syllable made of 2 kata symbols, when this capital エ (e) consist of one kata symbols and forms a syllabe alone. Mad6 (talk) 12:55, March 1, 2014 (UTC)

Japanese raw for full name came out -> http://online.mangaraw.net/Bleach-Chapter-571-3-10540.html ----EvilDragonLord (talk) 16:29, March 7, 2014 (UTC)

Mad looks right in what was posted above re: Vanishing Point and its underlying Kanji. As for *Guenhael, I elaborate a bit more here, but the gist is that, despite the above reasoning (and, of course, not all Sternritter have German-phonology-following names; cf. Mask de Masculine), Googling the katakana for the name turns up 2 chief usages of them as transliteration for 2 chief spelling candidates, *Gwenael or *Gwenhael--and that's always assuming it's not some more obscure usage, or a wacky spelling of Kubo's own, à la the Arrancar, like *Gwennhaiylle or something. Adam Restling (talk) 10:35, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Guremi[]

So, with the next raw, this new guy does seem to be named "Guremi" like we thought (グレミ), unless there's a possible other name that those Kana could translate to (actually, it was more like "グレミイイ" because Guanael was dragging his name out), but what concerns me more is this guy may have an epithet. Here he says "My product of fantasy". When I looked at the raw version of the same page here, the words he said are in quotes, which is what Kubo has been doing for epithets. The Kanji seems to be "空想の産物" and the Hiragana used is こうそうのさんぶつ. I'm not really sure if this is an epithet or an ability or not, though. KenjiSchiffyTalk to meView my work01:20,3/15/2014 UTC

A doubled "イ" in his name is from that Guanael was shouting at him in rage. Eventually his translated name would be the same but kata and romaji would be different, because it would include also a longer last "イ", like that - "グレミイ" (Guremī). When Guremi says this "空想の産物" (Kūsō no Sanbutsu) which translates as Product of Fantasy is reffering to Guanael as "fruit" of his powers. According to this page of raws [5] Guremi's ability is called "想像力" (Sōzōryoku) which translates as "(Power of) Imagination". So I suggest to give Guanael an "alias", the aforementioned "空想の産物" Kūsō no Sanbutsu as "Product of (Guremi's) Fantasy", and establish Guremi's ability as "想像力" (Sōzōryoku) which translates as "Imagination". Mad6 (talk) 01:05, March 16, 2014 (UTC)

A raw of last chapter came out. Full Name is Gremmy Thoumeaux (グレミィ・トゥミュー, Guremii Tumyū) and title is "The Visionary" (夢想家 (ザ・ヴィジョナリィ), Musōka (Za Vijonarii)).--EvilDragonLord (talk) 02:33, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

Silbern[]

I noticed that Silbern has different furigana in tankōbon edition. It's ジルバーン (Jirubān) now, not ズィルバーン (Zirubān). I'm not sure which one is more proper but we should change it in the article anyway, shouldn't we? Zhenyoq talk 21:17, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

I actually noticed this post and made the change a while ago, but neglected to confirm that here. Thanks for bringing up the changed furigana, though.--Xilinoc (talk) 02:27, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

Character Name Issues[]

Okay, I've been checking some pages and I think there's a need to check the names of earlier characters once again:

1 - Karakura High School Students: I brought up this earlier but it seems to have been forgotten. Here's the link to the raws of chapter 35: http://postimg.org/image/dpzjuscwr/ The following characters are already on the page, but the kanji is missing. I went ahead and tried to decipher the kanji for them (ATTENTION! MY JAPANESE IS PRETTY LIMITED): - Satoshi Terasawa actually seems to be Kei Terasawa (寺澤 敬, Terasawa Kei); - Shouko Kusama actually seems to be Emiko Kusama (草間笑子, Kusama Emiko); - Jinpei Nagase appears be (永瀬仁平, Nagase Jinpei); Then I tried to check the characters of the second page in the link to add to the wiki page, but again my japanese is quite weak so they could be wrong. I'll add their number rank so it's easier for you to follow: - 12 - Takeshi Nakahira (中平 猛, Nakahira Takeshi); - 13 - Mari Tachibana (橘 まり, Tachibana Mari); - 14 - Victoria Hitomi Odagiri (小田桐 ヴィクトリア 瞳, Odagiri Vikutoria Hitomi); - 29 - Hiroyoshi Katō (加藤 広義, Katō Hiroyoshi); - 30 - Kenkichi Shibasaki (柴崎 賢吉, Shibasaki Kenkichi); - 49 - Satoru Kudō (工藤 悟, Kudō Satoru); - 50 - Katsuhiko Hino (日野 勝彦, Hino Katsuhiko); I hope this helps the Translation Corner crew. I don't want to make any edits without you checking this first.

2 - Karin Kurosaki's Friends: None of them have kanji, so I went to check the raws of Chapter 38 (or 39, not sure right now..) and here it is the link: http://postimg.org/image/neoalrwel/ (Scroll it down, most of the page is blank..), again I tried to check and found some differences: - Ryohei Toba actually seems to be Ryūhei Toba (戸羽 龍平, Toba Ryūhei); - Heita Toujoin actually seems to be Heita Tōjōin (東条院 平太, Tōjōin Heita) and his nickname Pinta (ピン太) is also missing; - Kei Uehara appears to be (上原 敬, Uehara Kei) and his nickname Donny (ドニー, Donī) is also missing the kanji; - Kazuya Usaka appears to be (宇坂 和哉, Usaka Kazuya); Again I'll leave this for you to confirm before I do any changes.

3 - Midori Tōno: This one is interesting... The page gives (遠野翠子, Tōno Midori) as the kanji, but for all I know 翠子 means "Midoriko", which is what Karin always calls her. Midori Tōno would be "遠野翠". I went to check the manga and in both her appearances she's only referred as Midoriko, so her full name must come from the databook. Can someone check it? Is she Midori Tōno (遠野翠, Tōno Midori) or Midoriko Tōno (遠野翠子, Tōno Midoriko)??

4 - Hashigami, Ino, Kaneda: I'm pretty sure of these, but nonetheless here's the link to the raw of chapter 16: http://postimg.org/image/5it6lhu8r/ On the teacher's top panel she says her names: - Hashigami appears to be Hashigami (橋上); - Kaneda appears to be Kaneda (金田); - Ino appears to be Ino (伊野); Please confirm those as well.

I guess that's all I have for now. I know they're all very very minor characters, but their info should be the most complete possible in my opinion. Thanks in advance and I hope my translations make it easier for you guys. Kyoraku08 (talk) 17:03, March 31, 2014 (UTC)

1 - I guess we can't say for sure how these names are intended to be read as there's no furigana. For example, 敬 may be Aki, Kei, Keiji, Satoshi, Takashi, Hiroshi, Megu or Yuki and 寺澤 may be Terasawa or Terazawa. All names you put here seem to be right but most of them have several different readings.
2 - Ryohei -- the same: 龍平 is Ryūhei/Riyūhei/Ryōhei.
3 - Yes, her name is Midoriko. As far as I remember Yuzu calls her Midori(-chan), probably that's why her name was mistaken.
4 - That's right. Zhenyoq talk 21:25, March 31, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, thanks a lot! That's really interesting how a single character can be one of a dozen possible names! Man it makes me want to learn japanese properly even more...

So I'll go ahead and take care of issues #3 and #4... as for issues #1 and #2, are the kanji correctly transcripted? If yes, I'll go and add them to the respective characters and leave the romanized names as they are. Kyoraku08 (talk) 23:35, March 31, 2014 (UTC)

I didn't spot any mistakes. By the way, I found Victoria in the first popularity poll results. Her name indeed reads as Odagiri Vikutoria HitomiZhenyoq talk 00:16, April 1, 2014 (UTC)

Bonze[]

I finally got the raws of the latest volume and found one thing we missed. When Ichibei explains his title to Renji he actually explains which hieroglyphs are used. So Manako is 真名呼 which means [the one that] calls the real name. And it seems that homophony with eye/perception is made on purpose. Zhenyoq talk 05:06, June 18, 2014 (UTC)

Funny that this just now hit me. I thought something on his page looked weird. Since the kanji for "Manako" weren't given when his title was first revealed, doesn't that mean that its translation as "Perception" had no basis to begin with? I mean, I don't doubt that it could be a pun, but I don't think we ever actually got the kanji for it (眼). Mohrpheus (Talk) 19:13, June 19, 2014 (UTC)

Precognition Drug[]

Alright, so 593's raw is out, and we've finally got the page where Mayuri's talking about his time-based drug thing here. Now, both Mangastream and Viz have him talking about Hitsugaya being able to "see into the past", but Mangapanda instead has him talking about the usual "see into the future" business, so if someone could determine which one he's actually referring to and also provide the kana/kanji making up the term, that'd be great.--Xilinoc (talk) 17:45, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

There is no official kanji for a "medicine" Mayuri gave to Hitsugaya. The two hilighted tems are Short Term Memory (短期記憶, Tanki Kioku) (that affects brain) and the most important that Xil mentioned, is a Past Forecasting/Predicting Power (過去を見通す力, Kako wo Mitōsu Chikara). 従え 12:54, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

General/Other translation issues (e.g. conjugation/miscellanea)[]

The Fear[]

Okay, so the raws for 566 and 567 are out now, and I've noticed something odd. As Nodt's epithet does certainly seem to be "The Fear", but unlike every Sternritter epithet before it, there seems to be a distinct lack of Katakana. As seen here in 566 and here in 567, the Kanji being used seems to be "恐怖", but on the side, instead of the expected Katakana reading something along the lines of "ザ・フィア", there is only Hiragana reading "きょうふ"/Kyōfu. I've flipped through the raw of both chapters, but I'm not seeing anything resembling a Katakana equivalent. It seems odd to me that Kubo would "forget" something like that for two chapters in a row. But anyway, would it even make sense to jump the gun like was already done here and add the Katakana, or should I go ahead and remove that? KenjiSchiffyTalk to meView my work03:10,2/10/2014 UTC

It was never stated that kata of Äs' epithet was "ザ・フィア" (Za Fia). Someone put this on his page, because thought that Kubo would give him said form of epithet anyway like to other Sternritters, but was mistaken. Hiragana looks okay. I suggest also to change a Japanese translation of "恐怖" (Kyōfu) (on Äs' page) from Terror to just Fear, as it would be more literal translation of his ability. Mad6 (talk) 12:42, March 16, 2014 (UTC)

Äs Nödt's Vollständig Name[]

I've seen a number of different rendering across the various translators, but we don't have anything concrete. (Many of them render it as two words, when it should be one?) Also, do the underlying kanji match what we have for the other Vollständig? Mohrpheus (Talk) 18:38, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n301/ShadeofDemon/Tatarforas_zps567206ec.png

神の怯え (Kami no Obie), タタルフォラス (Tataru Forasu). The first part - 怯え (Obie) translates as "for being startled, surprised or afraid;  panic;  trepidation". I dunno what references Kubo made, but for me it would be a reference to a Tartar in Greek Mythology, which is a underworld and some sort of their 'hell'. Foras word comes from Ars Goetia known as Lemegeton or Lesser Key of Salomon and is name of President Foras which rules over twenty-nine legions of demons. Mad6 (talk) 22:48, February 17, 2014 (UTC)

Just some additional inquiries regarding this: 1) So would it translate as "Trepidation of God"? 2) Since there is no interpunct in the kana, would it just be "Tatarforas"? Mohrpheus (Talk) 16:40, February 20, 2014 (UTC)
I would say 'Afraid of God' would be better because of As' fear and respect of 'Yhwach'. It could be together without space or separated, for me both versions are ok. But nonetheless I prefer to wait with changes to see Adam's statement about it, because He has more knowledge about grammar and lexical terms and translation. But for now I would leave this together, If something's going to change, it will just be changed anyway. Mad6 (talk) 12:16, February 23, 2014 (UTC)

Vol 62 Poem[]

Could we get a translation of this please, thanks ~~Ууp <talk> 12:25, March 5, 2014 (UTC)

"己の生に, 抗い続ける, 己の心に, 牙ある限り" "Onore no Sei ni, Aragai tsuzukeru, Onore no Kokoro ni, Kiba aru Kagiri". "His life, Will continue to oppose, His heart, is full of fangs". Mad6 (talk) 15:56, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

Sange[]

I have doubts as to Sange (散華) meaning "Grant a Glorious Death", mainly because it's only two kanji and neither of them mean "Grant", "Glorious", or "Death", at least not according to tangorin. However, the kanji do seem to form something along the lines of "Scattering Flower(s)" (at least based on the style of the technique), so I'd appreciate it if someone could take a second look at this.--Xilinoc (talk) 19:02, March 6, 2014 (UTC)

I think the Sange (散華) can also mean "Falling as flowers do" according to Lord Tangorin. I would prefer to change translation to "Falling like a Flowers" to give more literal translation of Kenzaki's Benishidare technique. Mad6 (talk) 14:50, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

Like Xilinoc said, sange (散華) more lit. means "scattering flower(s)" or "flower(s) scatter", and is also used, figuratively, for "die/dying a glorious death", like the elegance of flower petals felled or blown away. "Falling ~" would be less accurate, though. Adam Restling (talk) 11:33, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

Vanishing Slider[]

So the raw for 572 is out, and I've found the page that Guenael mentioned his Vanishing Slider technique on. It seems the technique itself has underlying kanji, though I have a feeling they mean something quite similar to the katakana...anyway, this is the page. I'd appreciate it if someone could provide a translation for the kanji, as well as the kanji and kana in typed form so they can be put on the page. Thanks in advance.--Xilinoc (talk) 00:57, March 15, 2014 (UTC)

The kata of his technique is バニシング・スライダー (Banishingu Suraidā) trasnlating as just Vanishing Slide. Kanji is 消尽滑体 (Shōjin Katsutai/Kotsutai) literally meaning Vanishing Body Slide. —This unsigned comment is by Mad6 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Shinten[]

Turns out we never got a confirmed translation for the knockout liquid Izuru uses on Yumichika in chapter 326. It's called Shinten, and the kanji can be found here, in the third panel where Izuru is describing it. The Ju-Ni translator rendered it as "Drill Point", but I'd like some confirmation on that, so if someone could post a rendering along with the kanji so it can be added, that'd be great. Thanks in advance.--Xilinoc (talk) 01:05, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

The Kanji is "穿点" (Senten) not shinten. "穿" (Sen) translates as dig, pierce and drill, and "点" (Ten) translates as spot, point, mark. The whole translates as Piercing/Drill Point. Mad6 (talk) 22:04, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

Pero[]

We never did get the kana for Pero's name, so if someone could find it here (last panel, Orihime's text bubble), I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.--Xilinoc (talk) 01:05, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

It's just "ペロ" (Pero). Mad6 (talk) 22:11, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

Karakura High School Students[]

I was checking this page here about the Karakura High School Students: http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Karakura_High_School_Students and noticed that most of these characters miss the kanji of their names. Also, checking the manga chapter (#35) I noticed that there are few more students whose name appeared and therefore should be added to the page. I'm adding the link for both pages so someone can go through this:

http://postimg.org/image/dpzjuscwr/

The first page has the kanji for the characters in the Karakura High School Students page. The second page has the kanji for the other students I mentioned that should be added to that same page. Thanks in advance.Kyoraku08 (talk) 13:54, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

Ch. 577 Title[]

Chapter 577 is called "Sword" according to Mangapanda and "Blade" according to Mangastream. So it's likely another chapter without an English title. If someone could post the raw and determine the correct translation that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. ~~Ууp <talk> 11:11, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Here you go. Looks like the title is "yaiba", which works either way, "sword" or "blade". Will-O-Wisp (talk)

"Blade" is a better translation for yaiba than "sword", which is better applied to words like ken, katana / , or tsurugi. Adam Restling (talk) 11:37, April 30, 2014 (UTC)

Ichigo's place on the Potential list[]

So when 582 came out last week, both scan sites had Giselle saying something about Ichigo being the first or head of the Special War Potential list. The raw panel is here, so I'm running it by the Translation Corner to confirm if she actually said that he's the at the top of the list or not. KenjiSchiffyTalk to meView my work17:04,6/7/2014 UTC

Satyr Tōjū Kanji[]

Ep256RukiaEncountersToju

Kanji is on the guy on the right.

I've been forgetting to do this for a while now, but in episode 256, the Satyr Tōjū appears to have a single kanji printed on his kilt thingy. Since I'm unable to identify it from sight, could someone list said kanji on here and give its meaning? Thanks in advance.--Xilinoc (talk) 20:33, June 19, 2014 (UTC)

I would bet it's a "酒". 従え 01:49, September 13, 2014 (UTC)

It seems as though we never got a proper rendering for Chapter 502's kanji title (散桜), so if someone could do that, I'd appreciate it.--Xilinoc (talk) 07:55, June 20, 2014 (UTC)

Fallen Sakura (散桜, San'ō). By the way, the first kanji is the same as the one in Senbonzakura release command. Zhenyoq talk 12:35, July 21, 2014 (UTC)

Quincy Zeichen[]

I was watching episode 164 because reasons, and therein, Uryu refers to the Quincy cross as the Quincy Zeichen. After doing some digging, I found this was in the manga as well, and we'd apparently never noticed it until now. This is a raw of the page it was mentioned on (panel in question has "Quincy Zeichen" written in Roman letters on it, can't miss it), so I'd greatly appreciate it if Adam or someone else could post the kana, kanji, and "official" translation, as well as a translation of the sentence in full so we know what, exactly, is being said. Thanks in advance.--Xilinoc (talk) 21:48, June 27, 2014 (UTC)

Evidently, Mangastream and Mangapanda had conflicting translations regarding this page, and Cnet's translations do not go back that far. Where exactly is Yamamoto saying that the Palace is in relation to Soul Society? The current interpretation is that it is in a different dimension - does the text agree with that? Mohrpheus (Talk) 02:46, July 4, 2014 (UTC)

Yumichika's Hozukimaru?[]

So chapter 589 has a bit of an interesting conundrum. On page 11, Yumichika talks about Bambietta's spheres, and how Hozukimaru is not able to deflect them. However, two of three translators, both MangaPanda and cnet, have Yumichika saying Hozukimaru is his, or that he is the one that can't deflect the spheres with it. I've looked at the raw and I really don't see anything specifying possessiveness or a first person pronoun. I've gathered the following:

  • MangaPanda's version
  • cnet's translation
  • MangaStream's traslation, which does not display this odd choice of words, and
  • the raw page. The It's the top left panel, left-hand speech bubble. From what I gathered, the bubble says: "あの弾は鬼灯丸で弾き飛ばせbないってことなんだから。" If someone could take a look at this sentence, and tell me if Kubo really did accidentally say that Hozukimaru is Yumichika's or if two out of three translators messed up. KenjiSchiffyTalk to meView my work17:26,7/28/2014 UTC
Of course he didn't. Japanese don't use pronouns in such cases, it's up to translator to figure them out from the context. Literally, the bubble says just "Because these bombs cannot be deflected with Hōzukimaru." Zhenyoq talk 17:15, July 29, 2014 (UTC)

Niña[]

591's raw is out, and it looks like the underlying kanji/hiragana for the term "Niña" is お嬢ちゃん. Now, I'm guessing this is some variant of the term "little girl", since the underlying stuff for "Bebé" is 嬢ちゃん and there's literally only a kana of difference there, but I'd appreciate a proper translation and stuff. Thanks in advance.--Xilinoc (talk) 16:40, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Actually You dropped one hiragana symbol btw (お) and without it it didin't make a sense :) It should look like that : and Cirruci just called her "Missy" (お嬢ちゃん, Ojō-chan) :) 従え 01:49, September 13, 2014 (UTC)

Soul Distribution[]

Took me a while to notice this, but we never got a good and proper translation for Yhwach's ability to loan out his soul for only the low low cost of $9.95 and eventual death. I looked at BadKarma's translation of 565 and found the phrase "魂を分け与える力", which apparently translates to something like "impart his soul", cropping up quite a bit, leading me to believe that's where we'll get our translation from. However, I'm fairly certain one of the translators here can come up with a more *ahem* betterer rendering (as well as the kana reading), so I'd appreciate it if someone could do just that. Thanks in advance.--Xilinoc (talk) 02:07, September 6, 2014 (UTC)

Dead or Alive[]

Oh boy, here we go. In 594, it's revealed that Kensei, Rose and Rangiku have all been zombified; upon seeing them, Mayuri remarks that "All these Captains and Lieutenants showing up dead... // It's so pathetic I can't even bring myself to laugh." (per Cnet) Now, Sun correctly pointed out that this could be Cnet confusing the term "zombie" or something with "dead", and I'd like a confirmation/explanation of this because this would mean that Rangiku is also dead, as with Kensei and Rose...and we all know how well that turned out when we claimed as such back during Deicide. (Raw here). Thanks in advance.--Xilinoc (talk) 16:42, September 6, 2014 (UTC)

You mean a term "死体" which means "corpse" so Mayuri said that they shown up as "corpses". 従え 01:49, September 13, 2014 (UTC)

  • Next up is the...unique Vollständig that is Gudoero (raw here, kana appear to literally be Gudoero but there might be some sort of romanization possible)
  • And finally we have Love Rope (raw here, upper left-hand panel)

Translations, renderings, and so on in a timely manner would be greatly appreciated.--Xilinoc (talk) 01:43, September 10, 2014 (UTC)
