How to Participate[]

To participate in this project, please just claim a fight below by putting your name next to the fight and list the status as *Incomplete*. When you have finished adding the summary for the fight, simply change the status to *Needs Checking For Completion*. Once all fights for one event are done, we can move on to the next event. If you are done with your fight and want to do another one (that hasn't been claimed yet) then you can do so. But remember! This is supposed to be fun and not stressful! So if you claim a fight but find that your schedule has become busy, just unclaim it and don't worry about it.

You do not have to be a committee member to participate. However, please be aware that the administrators/committee members will be reading over all summaries, including those done by other committee members. This is in order to get a second opinion on whether the referencing for a project is done, as well as other details before marking it as complete. These pages will be closely monitored for overall correctness as the details in them are a reflection of the series.

Rules[]

The majority of fight summaries are under "Locked" status, but 6 fights will be unlocked at a time. There will be no specific deadline other than making sure that all the six currently open are done before the next 6 are opened. So this simply means that the project will work with only 6 fights at a time. If any of the current 6 fights being worked on are Locked, contact Salubri (talk). For consistency and organization, all fight, battle and event article creations have to be confirmed by the supervisor of the project.

War/Invasion/Event articles can only be given out as open to edit by the supervisor, commonly only to committee members, as they are far more complicated then regular fights or battles.

If you need any help in regards to writing the Fight Summaries then let me or another admin or committee member know. Leave a message in the User Comments section or on an administrator's/committee member's talk page.
(Primary contacts: Salubri (talk))

Fight Summary Guidelines[]

These are the Guidelines to keep in mind when writing summaries and they are also things that might be helpful if you are writing a fight summary for the very first time. They are also designed to comply with the wiki's best practice.

1. The basis of any summary for fights, battles and events should follow the corresponding layout found here in the Bleach Wiki:Layout Guide.

2. The fights, battles and events should be featured in a detailed format corresponding to what actually took place in the series, but not what any one person thinks might have happened, or what they might want to take place.

3. Links - please consider providing one where you think the reader of the summary might want more information on either a character or a term.

4. Please do not forget to list references for all the fights, events and battles; as they are a requirement.

5. Always remember to keep to the The Manual of Style, particularly the In-universe part, in mind while writing the summaries. It may help if you have developed some writing skills and understand aspects of academic English.

6. Anime Images take precedent over manga Images. It is perfectly acceptable to wait for sufficient anime images. In the event that an article is completed, instead of complete, needs anime images will be sufficient until images can be uploaded. Due to the anime ending, manga images will be fine to use as placeholders until such a time, if any, the Anime returns to production.

Layout: The info boxes for each page have already been done. How they are supposed to be arranged is listed in the layout page. It is to be a basic summary (no different than if it was explained on a character article). What you will need to do is check the layout guide for Events/Fights/Battles and use either one to check what should be placed in the article. You will obviously need to get pictures but that is after the article is set up and done properly (with information properly referenced). Take note that some of the battles will be relatively small and unimportant, but they still happened. So, even if the information is small compared to other articles, there is no need to worry as you did the best that you could with consideration of the circumstances.

An administrator will go over your work to make sure that it was handled correctly, so you have an understanding of what they are expected to look like as far as the finished product is concerned.
