Bleach: Official Character Book SOULs is the first databook to be released for the Bleach manga, recapping the story of Bleach from the start of series through to the end of the Soul Society Arc as well as providing a preview of the Arrancar Arc. Inside is additional information for key story points, especially about Soul Society and the Gotei 13, as well as provided mini-profiles on the Shinigami encountered during the Soul Society Arc. In addition, the book contains previously unseen content in the form of Omake chapters.

Errors in vital statistics

There are a number of errors in vital statistics in SOULs for multiple characters. These statistics contradict information presented in earlier published character profiles within manga volumes and are subsequently corrected in the later published Bleach: Official Bootleg KaraBuri+. The discrepancies included:

Trivia

• 0.side-A the sand is originally published in this databook but is later included in Volume 23: MALA SUERTE!.
• Bleach: Official Animation Book VIBEs is released at the same time as the Book of SOULs in Japan but the VIBEs book has yet to be released in English.
