Discrepancies between SOULs and Bootleg[]

There were a number of discrepancies in vital statistics and information between SOULs and Bootleg for multiple characters. These discrepancies were concluded to be the result of errors in the publication of SOULs as the vitals given in SOULs contradicted information presented in character profiles within manga volumes. The discrepancies included,

  • Byakuya Kuchiki's birthday
    • SOULs - August 31
    • Bootleg and Character Profile in Volume 9 - January 31
  • Izuru Kira's height
    • SOULs - 170 cm (5'7")
    • Bootleg - 173 cm (5'8")
  • Kenpachi Zaraki's height
    • SOULs - 198 cm (6'6")
    • Bootleg and Character Profile in Volume 13 - 202 cm (6'7½")
  • Shūhei Hisagi's height
    • SOULs - 175 cm (5'9")
    • Bootleg - 181 cm (5'11½")

  • Additionally, SOULs states that the 12th Division Captain, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, has the ability to turn whatever his Zanpakutō cuts into liquid. However the Bootleg simply states that Mayuri uses his Zanpakutō to activate a modification he made to his own body that allows him to turn to liquid when necessary.
  • In the Soul Society entrance exam, it incorrectly states that Yoruichi was never a member of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. Instead, it states she was only a member of the Secret Remote Squads.

Inserts[]

The Japanese edition of the Bootleg came with a Shinigami Men's Association game card for use with the Bleach Soul Card Battle game.
