Blade of Light is a technique of Maki Ichinose's Zanpakutō, Nijigasumi.
Description[]
The metal blade of Nijigasumi disappears and is replaced by one made of hard light that constantly shifts in hue like Ichinose's Reiatsu; this blade can either become completely invisible, allowing Ichinose to perform stealth attacks while invisible[1] or while his opponent is disoriented by Blinding Light,[2] or generate additional hard light blades in the wake of Ichinose's sword swings that are fired outward at his opponent with considerable force and piercing power.[3] If the blade of Nijigasumi is broken when Ichinose uses this ability, the hard light blade will form over it completely intact, which allows Ichinose to continue fighting directly as well.[4]
