Why does everyone want the anime back so bad? I'd personally much, much rather have a decent PS4 game for it.. We already have the manga to know what happens in the story plus the anime isn't going to change the fact that the last arc failed to live up to its potential where it lost fans, popularity and caused it to be rushed to an end in the process.
Only thing worth investing in the anime for is if another better studio animated it like Bones, Ufotable, David Productions etc. One that can actually do justice to Bleach's battle scenes. If the anime quality is top notch then maybe, just maybe it will raise Bleach's popularity enough to reboot the franchise again: like how JoJo part 5 was one of the manga's least popular parts but after the anime aired it was the most searched part on the internet.. However, I highly doubt that Pierrot would ever let go of Bleach's anime rights.
I don't think we should be getting our hopes up because the last time Bleach announced something "Big" they gave us a live action movie that nobody asked for and nobody cares about anymore.. and thats coming from a hardcore Bleach fan here. For all we know it could be a sequel to the live action movie. Even worse, if it really was a Burn the witch OVA: first of all, Burn the witch wasn't very good. Although Bleach itself also had a slow start.. But burn the witch is a one and done so there's that. But ok, let's say they do produce a Burn the witch OVA then what? Everybody forget's about it then nothing else happens. It's just not worth investing an OVA into.
I've heard rumours that it might be a video game developed by CC2 because some guy from CC2 said he really wants to make a Bleach game and that they're working on a secret project but again, that's just rumours.
But anyways. for all we know, it could be anything.. A new game (for the love of god please don;t let it be a mobile game), anime for the final arc, a live action sequel, more novels, a new animated movie, a stage show (booooring LOL), another art/data book, bleach apparel? etc... so many things comes to mind that we can speculate about.
Last but not least, I am right to assume there are 2 seperate things announced? One for the Bleach 20th anniversary and the other for Tite Kubo's new project or was I mistaken?
